Hotel of the week
São Paolo welcomed a 141- room hotel this summer that’s “arguably the most luxurious in Brazil,” said Claire Wrathall in The Telegraph (U.K.). Housed in a weddingcake mansion, Palácio Tangará sits amid a 27-acre rain-forest park populated by exotic birds, some of which you may spot from the hotel’s “heavenly” outdoor pool. Bespoke furniture graces the guest rooms, contemporary art adorns the public spaces, and Jean-Georges Vongerichten runs the restaurant. At tastings in the wine cellar, a glass of Chateau Petrus will cost you far more than a night’s stay.
