Some 28 different congressional districts have experienced a mass shooting so far this year, when a mass shooting is defined as four or more people shot in an incident. In 2017, more than 180 congressional districts did so—the equivalent of 40 percent of the House of Representatives.
President Trump’s inauguration committee paid two private companies more than $50 million to plan and run the 2017 event. One of those firms, run by Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, a longtime friend and adviser of first lady Melania Trump, was paid nearly $26 million—including a $1.62 million consultancy fee for Winston Wolkoff.

Bush, Bill Clinton, and George H. W. Bush, who in the first year of their presidencies held 11, four, 14, and 26 formal news conferences, respectively.
Of the 144 seasonal-worker jobs filled at three Trump organization properties in New York and Florida between 2016 and the end of 2017, just one went to a U.S. worker. Foreign guest workers with H-2B visas got the rest. In that visa program, foreigners can be hired only if employers can find no American to fill the job.
