At least 82 people were killed after a magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck the Indonesian island of Lombok Sunday evening.

Natural Disaster Mitigation Agency spokesman Sutopo Nugroho said hundreds of people are injured and thousands of homes damaged, and most of the dead were killed when their houses collapsed. The shaking was felt in Bali, and the quake damaged buildings there as well. A tsunami warning was issued, but has been lifted.
